Arana Ascot Surprises Four of Its Members with Life Membership
The Arana Ascot Hockey Club Celebrates the end of its 2017 Season by welcoming in four new Life Members to the club and acknowledging their efforts and dedication to the Arana Ascot Hockey Club over many years.
This year Adrian Pate, Greg Shirvington, Gregg Cook and Miesh Elmes were all presented with their Life Membership at the Clubs Annual Trophy Day.
Adrian Pate has been a member of the Arana Ascot Hockey Club for 16 years and coaches the Junior Grass 1 teams and has been the Equipment Officer for the past couple of years.
Gregg Cook has been a member of the Arana Ascot Hockey Club for 7 years and is currently the Grounds Officer for the Club.
Miesh Elmes has been a member of the Arana Ascot Hockey Club since 2000 and a Committee Member for the past 6 years and is currently the Development Officer, Coach to the Under 9Red team and the website manager.
These new Life Members join Margie Brown, Kathy Proctor and Beverley Ragonesi as Life Members over the 23 years of the club.
All Life Members have made a significant amount of hard work and time into making Arana Ascot Junior Hockey Club one of the most active clubs today.
Miesh Elmes membership is especially impressive in that she is only 25 years old. When Miesh isn’t playing she is down at the club helping the next generation of young hockey players find their potential. Miesh is also a coach at the club and is popular among the club players with everyone coming up to say hello when they see her. Miesh also looks after the clubs social media page and keeping the public aware of what is going on. The Arana Ascot have an extensive criterion on eligibility to become eligible for Life Membership, and the President Russell Morrison announced that Miesh didn’t just meet the standards, but she exceeded them has Miesh exemplifies what Arana Ascot is all about.
All Life Members were surprised by the announcement and appreciate the recognition made by the Arana Ascot Hockey Club.
